R60/2 sidecar geared bike for sale
Selling a matching # 1965 R60/2 with 27/7 rear and 1.44 Speedo. This machine has documentation from BMW Motorrad of St. Louis showing a total rebuild in May of 1980. I bough this machine as a complete sidecar setup from the owner in 2003,drove it for one season then took it off the road for the winter. Not one to take anything for granted, I went through the motor myself. I found the slingers almost clean, all bearings and internals were perfect,I found the carb flanges were warped, no surprise, so I lapped them flat. I put the motor back together with new seals and gaskets intending to use it after the winter, but before that happened I was talked out of (offered too much money) the sidecar, and since I have other solo machines the bike has been sitting in my living room since 2005. This machine has new tapered steering bearings, bar end signals, Halogen headlight conversion, new low sidecar bars & grips, SS risers, 6 gal tank, driver and passenger solo seats. All swing arm and wheel bearings were cleaned, inspected and re lubed.Wheel bearings are properly pre loaded. The tins are a repaint in very nice shape. There are a few spots that need a touch up and I'll do that before the new owner takes possession. The tires are new 3.50 universals so the bike can be ridden solo if desired but still give good sidecar service. The motor runs well starts easily and is a turn key sidecar tug.The front lower sidecar ball is in place so the new owner only has to install the upper eye bolts, attach the tub and go. All Motorrad documents go to new owner. Clear title, actually a transferable registration here in NY. Sold anywhere as long as funds come from a US source no foreign money. Payment in cash in person, Personal Check or Bank Check from a known US bank, both must clear my bank before machine is released, or a USPS money order.
Price: $10,500.00

1969 R50/2 for sale
I'm selling a matching # 1969 R50/2. The clock shows 32,900 original miles. The machine has US bars, chrome cylinder guards, original paint and strips in good condition with a few scratches here and there. Small tank with working tool box key. I don't have the key for the steering lock.Tires have plenty of miles left. The motor runs smoothly and starts usually on the first kick. The machine has a small bench seat and a chrome folding Denfeld rear rack. The inside of the tank is rust free with strong red coating. I've been using bike this as my daily rider for two years and other than changing fluids have done nothing to it.I bought this machine from the second owner who owned it for 32 years. It's a good all around machine that you can ride as is. Photos on request.Payment by cash in person, USPS money order, personal check from a known US bank, bank check from a known US bank, both will be held until it clears my bank. I have no problem selling out of the country as long as all funds come from a US source, no foreign money.Shipping is buyers responsibility.
